Checkout Terms and Conditions

By placing an order through this website, you confirm that you have read and accepted these Checkout Terms & Conditions. These terms apply in addition to our full Terms & Conditions and Privacy Policy published on this website.

1. Orders & Availability

All orders are subject to product availability and successful payment.

We take reasonable steps to ensure that product information and pricing displayed on our website are accurate. In the event of an obvious pricing, product description, or availability error, we may contact you to confirm whether you wish to proceed with the order.

If we are unable to fulfil an order because a product is unavailable, payment cannot be processed, or the order cannot reasonably be fulfilled, we will notify you as soon as reasonably possible. Where payment has already been received for an order that we are unable to fulfil, the applicable amount will be refunded.

2. Delivery

Orders placed before 10:00 AM may qualify for same-day local delivery, subject to the delivery area, product availability, delivery capacity, and our operational requirements.

Orders placed after 10:00 AM will generally be scheduled for the next available delivery day.

Delivery times are estimates and are not guaranteed. Delays may occur due to circumstances including traffic, weather conditions, unforeseen events, or other operational factors.

If a significant delay affects your order, we will endeavour to communicate this to you where reasonably possible.

3. Delivery Information & Customer Responsibilities

Customers are responsible for providing an accurate and complete delivery address and contact information and for ensuring that an appropriate person is available to receive the order.

Because our products include perishable food items, customers should ensure that orders are received promptly and that products are placed under appropriate refrigeration or storage conditions immediately after delivery.

Once an order has been delivered and accepted, the customer is responsible for the proper handling, refrigeration, and storage of the products. This does not limit any rights the customer may have under applicable South African law where products were defective, damaged, unsafe, incorrectly supplied, or otherwise not in accordance with the order at the time of delivery.

4. Perishable Products & Returns

Our products include perishable food items. For food-safety and hygiene reasons, we generally cannot accept returns simply because a customer has changed their mind or no longer requires the product after delivery.

This policy does not affect any rights a customer may have under applicable South African consumer law in relation to products that are defective, unsafe, damaged, incorrectly supplied, or otherwise fail to meet the requirements of applicable law.

5. Product Complaints & Claims

Customers are requested to report any concerns regarding the quantity, accuracy, condition, quality, or freshness of an order as soon as reasonably possible, preferably within 24 hours of delivery, particularly where the concern relates to a perishable product.

Customers may be asked to provide photographs or other reasonable evidence to assist us in assessing a complaint.

Where a complaint is found to be valid, we will provide the remedy required by applicable law. Depending on the circumstances, this may include a replacement, repair where appropriate, refund, or another lawful remedy.

Nothing in these Checkout Terms & Conditions is intended to exclude or limit any consumer rights that cannot lawfully be excluded or limited under South African law.

6. Pricing

All prices displayed on the website are stated in South African Rand (ZAR).

Prices may be changed from time to time without prior notice. The applicable price for an order will generally be the price displayed when the order is confirmed.

If an obvious pricing or product description error has occurred, we may contact you before fulfilling the order to confirm whether you wish to proceed. If the affected order cannot reasonably be fulfilled, any amount paid for that order will be refunded.

7. Personal Information & Privacy

Personal information collected during the ordering and checkout process will be processed in accordance with applicable South African privacy legislation, including the Protection of Personal Information Act 4 of 2013 (POPIA).

Information may be processed where reasonably necessary to:

  • Process and fulfil your order;
  • Arrange delivery;
  • Process payments;
  • Communicate with you regarding your order;
  • Provide customer service and support;
  • Comply with applicable legal obligations; and
  • Protect our legitimate business interests where permitted by law.

Further information regarding the collection, use, storage, sharing, retention, and protection of personal information, as well as your rights as a data subject, is contained in our Privacy Policy.

8. Electronic Transactions

By placing an order, you confirm that you have had an opportunity to review the details of your order and correct any errors before submitting it.

You should carefully check your selected products, quantities, delivery details, contact information, and total order amount before completing your purchase.

Your order confirmation and other relevant transaction information may be retained electronically in accordance with applicable law.

9. Acceptance of Terms

By completing your purchase, you confirm that:

  • The information you have provided is accurate and complete;
  • You have reviewed your order before submitting it;
  • You accept these Checkout Terms & Conditions;
  • You acknowledge our Privacy Policy; and
  • You acknowledge that the purchase is also subject to the full Terms & Conditions available on our website.

Nothing contained in these terms is intended to remove, restrict, or limit any rights afforded to consumers under applicable South African law.
